Business Facts:
Who are you and what do you do?
SlimLine Wine is the first range of zero sugar wines. At Slim Wines, we create delicious wine with 0g sugar, 0g carbs with no artificial sweeteners and 11% abv.
Kirstie says – 11%?! I would fall over 😂🤣😂
Why did you start Slim Wines?
Founders Paul & Miriam wanted to create a wine with no sugar after discussing the effects of sugar on cancer cells, to make a healthier wine.
Kirstie says – Aahhhh, the controversial subject of sugar and cancer. We have some lively debates in our group about that!
How long has it been running for?
We launched in December 2017 with some Dragon’s Den funding; the sparkling wines have been available in Tesco for the last year

How is it going?
Very well thank-you! Tesco keep selling out and our online orders are growing every month. We are now looking to supply pubs and restaurants.
Kirstie says – looking forward to drinking something other than G&T at the pub soon then 😊
Has anything gone wrong or different to how you planned?
Making enough wine to keep up with demand has been an exciting challenge.
Kirstie says – nope, I’m not going to drink less of it to help you out!
Are there any ‘nasties’ in your wine?
We use no artificial sweeteners at all and 80% less sulphites than ordinary wine.
What are your goals?
We are looking to getting all our wines, including the still wines, into Tesco and another large retailer. We are excited to be supplying pubs, clubs and restaurants in the next year.

Take baby steps and don’t stop. Start now!
Who is your inspiration?
Madame Cliquot. She disrupted the wine industry when she started making her rose champagne. Our sparkling rose is made in a similar way.
